Rolling shutter machine questions

What does a rolling shutter strip machine do?

It roll forms flat coil into the interlocking strip that makes up a rolling shutter. Sheet feeds in one end and finished profile comes out the other, cut to length. It is the core machine of a shutter fabrication business.

Light duty or heavy duty?

The difference is sheet thickness. LDM handles 0.4 to 0.9 mm, which covers domestic and light commercial shutters. HDM handles 0.7 to 1.2 mm for industrial and godown shutters where the slat has to take real load. If you quote both markets, take HDM.

What do the roll pairs change?

More pairs form the profile in smaller steps, which gives a cleaner shape and less springback, particularly on thicker sheet. Six pairs is the economical option; nine gives the best finish. We build all four counts.

Which strip width should I choose?

Match the width the market you sell into expects. 4.5 inch is the most common in North India, 5 and 6 inch are used on wider and taller openings. Buying the wrong width means you cannot quote the jobs you are asked for.

Can you make a different profile?

Yes. Rolls are made to the profile you sell, so if your market uses a shape that is not standard, send a sample or a section drawing and we will tool for it.
