Rebar cutting machines

Ductile iron body, enclosed gear box with splash lubrication, and front wheel steering so the machine moves around a site instead of staying where it was unloaded.

Some figures for this machine are confirmed against the specific model at order stage and are not published here. Ask for the full specification sheet and we will send it the same day.

Cut and bend together

Most sites buy the pair. A cutter without a bender leaves the hooks and cranks to be done by hand, which is where the time goes.

Two months on one fill

Enclosed gear box with splash lubrication. Eight kilos of gear oil runs it for months rather than needing daily attention on a dusty site.

Make your own stirrups

Buying ties in costs several times what making them costs. A stirrup bender pays back inside one reasonable project.

Before you enquire

Rebar machine questions

Why a machine instead of cutting on site by hand?
A gas cutter leaves a burnt end and a hacksaw takes minutes a bar. A GQ40 cuts 40 mm round at thirty-two cuts a minute with a clean square end, which is what the bar schedule and the bar bender both need. On any slab of reasonable size it pays for itself in labour alone.
What is the difference between round bar and deformed bar capacity?
Deformed or TMT bar is harder, so the machine cuts a smaller diameter in it than in plain round. The GQ40 takes 40 mm round but 32 mm deformed. Always check the deformed figure, because that is what you actually cut on site.
Can the cutter handle flat and angle too?
Yes. The GQ40 takes flat up to 70 by 15 mm, square to 32 by 32 and angle to 50 by 50, so it doubles as a general site cutter.
What is a stirrup bender?
A smaller bender set up for making the rectangular ties that wrap column and beam reinforcement. Sizes run GW20 through GW36. A site making its own stirrups rather than buying them saves a substantial amount over a project.
What supply do they need?
380 V three phase. The GQ40 runs a 3 kW motor at 2880 rpm.
