The range

Three duty levels

Chosen by plate thickness and rolling width together, since a machine rated at full width will roll thicker on narrow plate.

Some figures for this machine are confirmed against the specific model at order stage and are not published here. Ask for the full specification sheet and we will send it the same day.

What it makes

Typical work

  • Storage tank shells
  • Silos and hoppers
  • Pressure vessel shells
  • Ducting and chimneys
  • Pipe and casing
  • Road roller drums
  • Transformer tanks
  • Water tanks
  • Cyclone bodies

Drop end as standard

A closed shell cannot lift off over a fixed roll. The drop end releases one bearing housing so the finished cylinder slides straight off.

Rated at full width

Narrower plate rolls thicker than the rating and high tensile rolls thinner, so tell us the grade as well as the size.

Built to your shell

Send plate thickness, width and the smallest diameter you need to make. We confirm the machine before quoting.

Seen before it ships

You are welcome at Batala to see your machine running before dispatch, with a written inspection and dispatch certificate.

Delivered across India

We arrange transport from Batala to your site, so you are not chasing a transporter yourself.

One year warranty

Covered against technical fault for a full year from delivery, on every machine we supply.

Support that answers

Most questions are settled the same day over a video call with someone who knows the machine.

Freight and site visits are charged at actual. Installation is not included in the machine price and can be arranged on request.

Plate rolling questions

Three roll or four roll?
A three roll pyramid machine is simpler and cheaper and covers most shop work, but the leading edge of the plate stays flat and has to be pre-bent or trimmed. A four roll machine grips the plate and pre-bends both ends in one setup. For general tank, duct and shell work, three roll is what most Indian shops run.
What is minimum rolling diameter?
The smallest cylinder the machine will produce, set by the top roll diameter. You cannot roll tighter than the roll itself allows, so check this against the smallest shell you make, not just the plate thickness.
Why does the drop end matter?
Once a plate is rolled into a closed cylinder it cannot be lifted off over the roll. The drop end releases one bearing housing so the finished shell slides off. Without it you can only roll open arcs.
Rated thickness at full width?
Ratings are given at full width in mild steel. Narrower plate rolls thicker, and higher tensile material rolls thinner — stainless typically takes about a third off. Tell us the grade as well as the thickness.
Can you supply pinch or initial pinch type?
Yes, and pyramid, initial pinch and variable geometry are all built. Tell us the plate size, the shell diameter and how many you make in a shift, and we will confirm which suits.
