About us

Four generations of machine tools in Batala

A family business that began in a small shop on G.T. Road and now supplies machine tools across India and abroad, still run from the same town by the same family.

Our story

From one shop to a machine tool business

Batala has built machine tools for the better part of a century. Our own roots here go back to 1950, when the family began making lathes in a small shop — a few machines at a time, sold to workshops in the surrounding districts.

Rajeev Aggarwal started in that shop alongside his father. What was a single premises and a handful of machines is now a business running multiple warehouses, a range covering twenty-five machine categories, and customers across India and in export markets.

That growth was not a single decision. It came from decades of adding one machine type at a time, learning each properly before taking on the next, and keeping the same buyers coming back for their second and third machine.

Direct involvement

How we work

Two brothers running a business between them means the person who quotes your machine is the person who follows it through the works and answers the phone afterwards. There is no layer in between, and no order too small to get attention.

We publish real specifications rather than four numbers, we invite customers to Batala to see a machine running before it is dispatched, and every machine leaves with a written inspection and dispatch certificate.

Steady expansion

Where we are going

The machine range has grown steadily and continues to. New lines are added when we are confident we can build or source them properly and support them afterwards — not because a category looked empty.

Alongside manufacturing, we import and supply machines that complement the range, inspecting each one before it goes out under our name.
