Build
Bed cast in graded iron, 2V and 2 flat type, with induction hardened and ground ways. Headstock spindle in alloy steel, precision ground, all rotating parts balanced. Headstock gears above 45 HRC. Four-walled closed oil-bath apron and Norton box. Hexagonal tailstock body with internally and externally ground spindle, offset for taper turning.
