Machine tools made in Batala

Four generations on G.T. Road. Lathes, presses, forging hammers and workshop machinery, built here and shipped across India and overseas.

Why Batala

India’s machine tool town

Batala has built machine tools since before independence. The town’s foundries, pattern shops and machining units grew up around the lathe trade, and today a large share of the conventional lathes running in Indian workshops were cast and cut within a few kilometres of G.T. Road. That concentration is why buyers travel here: the skills, the castings and the supply chain are all in one place.

PARAS EXPORTS has been part of that since 1950 — four generations in the same trade, at the same works on G.T. Road near Guru Nanak Kanda. We are the manufacturer, not a trader. When you buy from us you are talking to the people who cut the bed, fit the headstock and test the machine before it leaves.

Come and see the machine running

You are welcome at the works any day between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm. Machines are on the floor under power, and we would rather you saw one cutting than took our word for it. If you are travelling from outside Punjab, message us first and we will make sure the size you want to see is set up and running.

What we build in Batala

Twenty-five machines across turning, sheet metal forming and workshop equipment. Lathes are the core of the range and have been since 1950.

Also built here: all-geared lathes, roll turning lathes, milling and radial drilling machines, slotting and shaping machines, press brakes, shearing and plate rolling machines, pneumatic forging hammers, ironworkers, bandsaws and rebar machines.

From Batala to anywhere

Where our machines go

Machines leave Batala for workshops across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and the North East, and are exported regularly to Nepal, Bangladesh, Africa and the Middle East. Every machine is inspected and test run here before despatch, with an inspection and dispatch certificate issued against it.
